I would always get anxious about going to the dentist because my jaw locks when my mouth is open for long periods of time. This is the first time my jaw hasn’t locked at the dentist. My hygienist was Ramon. He has great bedside manner, was very knowledgeable and has the most gentle hands, my cleaning was quick and efficient and I didn’t even feel a thing! I was wary going to this dental office because of the bad yelp reviews I read, but I have had the best experience so far. So, if you’re looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend Anaheim Modern Dentistry. The office is impeccably clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, their equipment is state of the art, they are fully transparent with everything and their customer service is excellent! This update was prompted by my recent visit for a cleaning on 1/20/26. This rating is solely for the female Asian hygienist that cleaned my teeth this past week. For the record, I floss my teeth like crazy--every single time after I eat something. She sticks that sharp instrument in my gums to measure them and portions of my gums start bleeding. She proceeds to tell me that my gums bleed easily (not true bec they never bleed when I brush or floss, and did I mention I floss religiously?). She tries to sell me on this laser thing that would cost me ~$300. I say no. She then asks me if I wanted to do irrigation which she said was $100. I say ok, thinking it would be some intensive procedure seeing that it cost so much. She takes a syringe of blue minty liquid that she squirts on my teeth and then asks me to gargle then spit out. That's it! I ask her what the liquid was and she says chlorhexidine (aka peridex). WTH? $100 for 15ml of peridex when you can buy an entire bottle for $30? I definitely got bamboozled. To add insult to injury, she had the suction apparatus hooked right up against my cheek and 2 days later, I notice it was sore and sure enough, there was injury on the inside of my right cheek. And guess what? When the dentist came to look at my teeth and X-rays, she tells me everything looked good! I've had a really good experience with this dentist with the exception of my appointment with this particular hygienist. Next time I will be making sure she isn't my hygienist and I suggest you do the same if you go here.
